Two years have passed since the first episode of mlp aired. Time flies when you're having fun.
Speaking of first episodes; where is season three? I need my fix man! It's not like I'm really suffering from pony withdrawal or anything, there is plenty to go around but... a shot of the pure uncut stuff. I crave it!
Fortunately pony is my only addiction.

Pretty busy for the next couple of weeks, but if I do make anything it'll probably be Nightmare related. Halloween approaches.

About time I wrote something new here.

It's good to see so many still going at it after the ATG ended. Personally that momentum of creativity I gained from drawing something every day for a month really helped me out in getting a running start on my semester.
Been busy with my studies and I will likely have to move to a new apartment during the next month which will be pretty swell if it happens (and when it's over, moving is stressful).

My plan here is to focus more on digital painting than vectors from now on. It's much harder in my opinion, but also more flexible. I could use that in many more contexts than ponies alone. I am not that proficient as it is now, but I hope to change that by doing more of it. I also hope you can stand having your eyes subjected to my experiments. Muhahaha!

The initial rush of activity from returning to Uni is over, but so is the ATG! It was fun and I did learn a lot from doing some art every day for a month. Keeping that up is not possible for me however and I don't know what exactly I will do here in the future. Drawing more ponies is likely to happen, but I may also post other things.

For now though I would like to just say thanks and best of luck to all those involved over the last month, I hope you keep drawing and have fun!

Going back to uni tomorrow will change my schedule considerably. I don't know how much I'll be able to do these last days of the ATG, but I will certainly still aim to draw something each day. I didn't come this far to falter at the end.

Over the last 25 days I have made great strides in drawing sketches, vectoring and now also digital painting, the latter two basically beginning from scratch. Two of the courses I'll be taking this semester are related to drawing and CG.
This month of drawing something every day have helped me feel prepared and I know I would not have come this far if it weren't for the ATG www.equestriadaily.com/2012/08… and all the support and inspiration found here on Deviant art.

Made it halfway through the EQD ATG with good outcomes. I've learned a lot and made a lot of drawings. It's good to feel all the positive vibes about this event and see peoples work.

The greatest challenge in all this is being able to react to a promt, come up with an idea that fits and take it to some level of completion within what hours you have available on that day.  I will be returning to some subjects later. I'm getting a basic idea of the strengths and weaknesses of the different tools and methods available and will hopefully be able to plan out the composition and production of an image better in the future.
